A small piece of data a website asks your browser to keep. This site uses as few as it can, and none of them identifies you by name.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work, and there are four: a short-lived stamp on each form that lets us tell a person from a script, a first-party campaign cookie kept for thirty days so we know which advertisement or article brought you here, one that shows you your own confirmation after you send a form, and a session cookie that keeps an editor signed in. None of them is used for advertising and none identifies you by name.
Analytics
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies today. It does not measure which pages you visit and it does not build an advertising profile. If that changes, this page is updated before any such cookie is set.
How to refuse them
There is nothing to decline: the only cookies this site sets are the strictly necessary ones above. You can clear and block cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. The site works either way; the search, the filters and every form work with cookies refused.

If we add a cookie, this page is updated before it is set, and the date at the top of this page changes with it.
