Select Group has delivered more residential towers in Dubai Marina than any other private developer, including Marina Gate I, II and III, No.9, Torch Tower, Bay Central and The Residences at Marina Gate. It also built Peninsula in Business Bay and Six Senses Residences on the Palm with IHG.
Its product is unglamorous in the best sense: efficient floorplates, generous balconies, sensible service-charge structures and a reliable finish. Select buildings tend to let easily and hold value because they were designed around what a tenant actually wants rather than around a render.
The company also operates outside the UAE, with completed residential in the UK and Europe, which is rarer among Dubai developers than the marketing suggests and gives it a longer institutional memory than its founding date implies.
What a buyer should actually know
Select’s Marina towers are now old enough that the difference between a well-run and a badly-run owners’ association is visible in the price. Before you buy, ask for two years of service-charge history and the reserve-fund balance for the specific building, not the district average.
