Jumeirah Golf Estates is 1,119 hectares of landscaped ground around two championship courses, Earth and Fire, and it is the quietest large community in Dubai. Earth hosts the DP World Tour Championship each November, which is the one week a year the place is busy.
The community is organised as a set of small named enclaves—Redwood Park, Alandalus, Flame Tree Ridge, Sanctuary Falls, Whispering Pines, Orange Lake—rather than as a single grid. Each has its own architecture and its own price. Sanctuary Falls and Flame Tree Ridge sit directly on Fire; Earth frontage is rarer and commands more. Redwood Avenue and Alandalus are the apartment and townhouse tiers, and they are the reason the community has a rental market at all.
What buyers actually get here is space and silence. Plots are large by Dubai standards, density is low, and the landscaping is mature enough that you cannot see your neighbours from most gardens. The golf is genuinely good and genuinely used, which is not true of every golf community in the city.
The trade-off is location. You are on the far side of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, thirty minutes from the coast and forty from DIFC. Families who buy here have decided that the drive is the price of the quiet. Most do not regret it; some do.

Getting around
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street. There is no metro and there will not be. Two cars per household is the norm here and this page says it plainly.

Fire frontage is more available and sits behind Sanctuary Falls and Flame Tree Ridge. Earth frontage is rarer and commands more. The difference in price is larger than the difference in the view.
Is there a rental market?
Yes, but it is concentrated in Alandalus and Redwood rather than in the villas. Villa lettings here are slow and seasonal, and they price to families arriving for the school year.
